רבינו הגדול - הזקן - סידר לפני אנ"ש העבודה במוח ולחפש את האמת, לבקר כל תנועה, שתהיה רק כפי האמת ובאה ע"י עבודה. ועבודה זו אינה לפרק הרים ולשבר סלעים, להפוך את העולם. האמת הגמור הוא: אשר כל עבודה ופועל, איזה שיהיו, בכוונה אמיתית, די ומספיק: ברכה בכוונה; ביאורי המילים שבתפלה כדבעי בהכנת הלב; פסוק חומש בידיעה שהוא דבר ה'; פסוק תהלים; ומדה טובה לקרב לבו של חברו באהבה וחיבה.

Hayom Yom (היום יום, “day by day”) is an anthology of Chassidic aphorisms and customs with one entry for every day of the Hebrew year. It was compiled in 1942 by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, at the instruction of his father-in-law, the Previous Rebbe.
