אמירת כל התהלים בהשכמה. יום התוועדות. סליחות - אחר חצות לילה ובסמוך לה. אבל בשאר הימים - באשמורת הבוקר. אדמו"ר הזקן סיפר: בהיותי במעזריטש שמעתי ממורי ורבי הרב המגיד בשם מורו ורבו הבעש"ט: החודש השביעי שהוא החודש הראשון לחדשי השנה, הקב"ה בעצמו מברכו בשבת מברכים שהוא השבת האחרון דחודש אלול, ובכוח זה ישראל מברכים את החדשים יא פעמים בשנה. כתיב "אתם נצבים היום" - ד'היום' קאי על ראש השנה שהוא יום הדין; ו'אתם נצבים' - קימים ועומדים, היינו שזוכים בדין.

Hayom Yom (היום יום, “day by day”) is an anthology of Chassidic aphorisms and customs with one entry for every day of the Hebrew year. It was compiled in 1942 by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, at the instruction of his father-in-law, the Previous Rebbe.
