ה"צמח צדק" כותב: אהבה דבחינת "ועמך לא חפצתי בארץ" - שלא לחפוץ שום דבר זולתו ית', ולא אפילו שמים וארץ שהם גן-עדן עליון ותחתון, אלא תהיה האהבה רק לו ית' לבד, למהותו ועצמותו ית' ממש. וכך היה נשמע הלשון ממורי ורבי נ"ע (רבינו הזקן) בדביקותו, שהיה אומר: "איך וויל זע גאר ניסט, איך וויל ניט דיין גן-עדן, איך וויל ניט דיין עולם הבא, איך וויל מער ניט אז דיך אליין" [=איני חפץ במאומה; איני רוצה בגן-העדן שלך, איני רוצה בעולם-הבא שלך - כי אם אותך לבד]. גוט יום טוב. לשנה טובה בלימוד החסידות ודרכי החסידות תכתבו ותחתמו.

Hayom Yom (היום יום, “day by day”) is an anthology of Chassidic aphorisms and customs with one entry for every day of the Hebrew year. It was compiled in 1942 by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, at the instruction of his father-in-law, the Previous Rebbe.
