הנהוג אצל ה"צמח צדק", כי באחד מלילי חנוכה היו עושים כעין התוועדות עם בני הבית, ונקרא "לאטקעס-אווענט" [="ערב לביבות"]. וכן היה אצל רבינו הזקן ואדמו"ר האמצעי. בין הסיפורים שהיו הרביים מספרים בסעודה זו, היו סיפורים אשר בכל חנוכה היו משוחחים אודותם, אף שכבר דיברו מזה בשנה העברה. אאמו"ר [הרש"ב] היה נותן דמי חנוכה בליל נר הרביעי או החמישי.
