ביום מהדרים: לקדש, אח"כ מתפללים תפלת המנחה, ואחר-זה סעודת יום-טוב. הבעל-שם-טוב היה אוכל ג' סעודות באחש"פ [=אחרון-של-פסח]. סעודת אחרון של פסח היתה נקראת - אצל הבעש"ט - "סעודת משיח". "סעודת משיח" היא באחש"פ, כי באחש"פ מאיר גילוי הארת המשיח. בשנת תרס"ו התחיל הסדר, אשר תלמידי תומכי תמימים יאכלו יחד בחג הפסח בהיכל הלימוד והיו אז ש"י [=310] תלמידים וח"י [=18] שולחנות, סעודת אחש"פ אכל אאמו"ר [הרש"ב] ביד עם התלמידים, וציווה לתת לכל תלמיד ד' כוסות, ואמר אז: זוהי סעודת משיח.

Hayom Yom (היום יום, “day by day”) is an anthology of Chassidic aphorisms and customs with one entry for every day of the Hebrew year. It was compiled in 1942 by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, at the instruction of his father-in-law, the Previous Rebbe.
