הקדמת ה"לקוטי תורה על ג' פרשיות", [ספר חסידות על ג' פרשיות ראשונות שבתורה] "להבין ענין נפש האלוקית, הנה כתיב לא תאכלו" הוא מאמר שאמרו רבנו הזקן לפני ה"צמח צדק", וחזרו הצ"צ לפניו, ויאמר רבינו הזקן: נו, הטעמה? ויכתוב הצ"צ הנחה עם הגהות במוקף. רבינו הגיה ההנחה, ויצוו להכניס ההגהות בפנים המאמר. על-פי הצעת אאמו"ר [הרש"ב] בחרו במאמר זה בתור הקדמה לה"לקוטי-תורה".

Hayom Yom (היום יום, “day by day”) is an anthology of Chassidic aphorisms and customs with one entry for every day of the Hebrew year. It was compiled in 1942 by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, at the instruction of his father-in-law, the Previous Rebbe.
