בפרט בזמן הזה אשר בחסדי השי"ת אנו עומדים על סף הגאולה, עלינו להתאמץ בכל מיני אימוץ, לחזק כל עניני הדת בהידור מצוה, ולשמור את כל המנהגים מבלי לוותר אף כל שהוא, ומצוה וחובה על כל רב בישראל, להודיע לקהל עדתו כי הצרות והיסורים חבלי משיח המה, וה' אלקינו דורש מאתנו תשובה לתורה ומצוות, שלא נעכב ביאת משיח צדקנו בקרוב ממש.

Hayom Yom (היום יום, “day by day”) is an anthology of Chassidic aphorisms and customs with one entry for every day of the Hebrew year. It was compiled in 1942 by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, at the instruction of his father-in-law, the Previous Rebbe.
