הכרזת אאמו"ר [הרש"ב] באחת ההתוועדויות: כשם שהנחת תפילין בכל יום היא מצוה מדאורייתא על כל יהודי, מבלי הבדל אם הוא גדול בתורה, או איש פשוט - כך חוב גמור על כל יהודי להקדיש כחצי שעה מחשבה בכל יום אודות חינוך בניו, ולעשות ככל שבכוחו, ויותר מכפי כוחותיו, לדאוג ולפעול על בניו שילכו בדרך שבה מדריכים אותם.

Hayom Yom (היום יום, “day by day”) is an anthology of Chassidic aphorisms and customs with one entry for every day of the Hebrew year. It was compiled in 1942 by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, at the instruction of his father-in-law, the Previous Rebbe.
