הסתלקות אדמו"ר הזקן בכפר פיענע במוצאי ש"ק פ' שמות תקע"ג. ומנוחתו כבוד [=קבורתו] בעיר האדיץ. אאמו"ר [המהר"ש] שאל את ה"צמח צדק": מה "רצה" [=התכוון] הסבא ב'דרכי החסידות', ומה "רצה" בחסידות? ויענהו ה"צמח צדק": "דרכי החסידות" הן - שהחסידים כולם יהיו כמשפחה אחת, ע"פ תורה באהבה. "חסידות" היא חיות - להזרים חיות ולהאיר את הכול, כולל את ה'לא-טוב'; להכיר את מצב הרע בנפשו כדי לתקנו.

Hayom Yom (היום יום, “day by day”) is an anthology of Chassidic aphorisms and customs with one entry for every day of the Hebrew year. It was compiled in 1942 by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, at the instruction of his father-in-law, the Previous Rebbe.
