מברכים ברכת הקשת, ולא כיש מפקפקים בזה. לאחד מה'בעלי-בתים' של העיר מעזיבוש היה ריב עם 'בעל-בית' אחר, ותוך כדי שהות במחיצת הבעש"ט בביהכ"נ, צעק שהיה "קורע את יריבו כדג". הבעש"ט צוה לתלמידיו לשלב ידיהם ביד חביריהם, ולהתייצב לידו בעינים עצומות. הבעש"ט הניח ידיו הקדושות על כתפי שנים מתלמידיו. לפתע נזדעקו התלמידים מתוך אימה גדולה: הם ראו כיצד קורע הוא כדג את יריבו! זה מראה בבירור, שמכל כח - פועל דבר: אם בלבוש חומרי, או רוחני.

Hayom Yom (היום יום, “day by day”) is an anthology of Chassidic aphorisms and customs with one entry for every day of the Hebrew year. It was compiled in 1942 by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, at the instruction of his father-in-law, the Previous Rebbe.
