הרבי (רבינו הזקן) כאשר הגיע מפטרבורג, אמר לפני אדמו"ר האמצעי מאמר - בן מספר שורות בלבד -: "שאו ידיכם קודש" - זהו העלאת המדות במוחין והארת המוחין במדות, "וברכו את ה'" - שממשיכים על ידי זה שם הוי' דלעילא, שעל ידי זה פועל שיהיה "יברכך ה' מציון" - המשכת שם הוי' מעצמיות הנשמה, "עושה שמים וארץ" - שעל ידי זה הוא קיום העולמות.

Hayom Yom (היום יום, “day by day”) is an anthology of Chassidic aphorisms and customs with one entry for every day of the Hebrew year. It was compiled in 1942 by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, at the instruction of his father-in-law, the Previous Rebbe.
