מקדשים ואוכלים ושותים בסוכה בין בלילה בין ביום. הקפות בליל שמע"צ. הפטורה: ויהי בכלות - ולישראל עמו. אין אומרים ה'יהי רצון' ביציאה מן הסוכה. שמיני-עצרת וראש-השנה משתווים בכמה עניני כוונות ויחודים עליונים, אלא שבר"ה הם בענין העליה ובשמע"צ הם בענין ההמשכה. בר"ה העבודה בתחנונים, בהכנעה ובמרירות עצומה, ובשמע"צ היא בקו השמחה.

Hayom Yom (היום יום, “day by day”) is an anthology of Chassidic aphorisms and customs with one entry for every day of the Hebrew year. It was compiled in 1942 by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, at the instruction of his father-in-law, the Previous Rebbe.
