במנחה אין אומרים תחנון. יד מנ"א תש"א - נמלאו החמישים שנה מיום שאמר לי אאמו"ר [הרש"ב] שאתחיל לרשום הסיפורים שמספר לי. כאשר התחיל ה"צמח צדק" לכתוב בעניני נגלה וחסידות, אמר לו אדמו"ר הזקן: "וקנה לך חבר" - קולמוס הלב, משמע, כל דבר שלומדים צריך "לחיות" אותו.

Hayom Yom (היום יום, “day by day”) is an anthology of Chassidic aphorisms and customs with one entry for every day of the Hebrew year. It was compiled in 1942 by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, at the instruction of his father-in-law, the Previous Rebbe.
