רושם אאמו"ר [הרש"ב]: מעלת טו באב על כל טו בחודש [זמן הארת הירח במילואו], שזהו רק השלימות בהגילוי, אבל מכל מקום היא רק בחי' מקבל [מהשמש], אבל בטו באב האור בה בקביעות, לפי שהעליה היא לפי ערך עוצם הירידה דתשעה באב. וזהו שמנו חז"ל בין מעלותיו של יום ט"ו אב שבו "תשש כחה של חמה": עכו"ם מונים לחמה בישא, ובט"ו תשש - ומעין זה בטו באב תשש.

Hayom Yom (היום יום, “day by day”) is an anthology of Chassidic aphorisms and customs with one entry for every day of the Hebrew year. It was compiled in 1942 by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, at the instruction of his father-in-law, the Previous Rebbe.
